  Remember to place your quilt      order as early as possible       

The Mosaic Photo Quilts ordered using your photos may take 1-3 weeks after order is placed to have your quilt made depending on size. Please refer to the guide below for an idea of overall times to keep in mind when placing your order:

Gather your photos
Give yourself 1-2 weeks gather your photos. You can email your digital photos to: Mosaicphotoquilts@gmail.com 

If you have your photos on a photo sharing website, (Picasa is one example) I can copy the photos directly from your site for use in your quilt.
If you have physical photos I will convert them to digital images for you at no additional charge and send you a copy of the digital images back with your original photos. The address to send your photos to is:

Quilt Design
Allow up to a week for me to work with you to create the design for your quilt using the images you send. When you have approved your design, place your order. 

Creating your handcrafted quilt
Depending on the size of the quilt, allow 1 to 3 weeks to assemble your quilt. All quilts are all handmade me, crafted in the USA 

Shipping
All quilts are shipped to US addresses are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and insured.

Your Quilt Layout
I work with you to create a design using your own photos and batik fabrics so that you will know what your completed quilt will look like. Your quilts price includes everything, materials, shipping w/ tracking, insurance and my labor.

Fabric photo blocks
The standard size fabric photo blocks are 4x5, 5x8, 8x10 for rectangular quilts, 3-1/2x3-1/2 and 7x7 for square fabric and image fabric blocks. (The sizes shown are the sewn or finished size)

Custom Mosaic Photo Quilts
(Completely made just for you)

A custom quilt is any quilt that is made to your specific size, photos with mixed orientation and specific materials.The quilts are made using 100% cotton material. I will work with you to design a quilt exactly as you want it and I will then make the quilt by hand. 

The cost of  the quilt is based on $.174/sq. inch (or $25.00 sq. ft )

For your reference, shown below are some standard sizes. You can have your quilt made to the sizes shown or have a quilt made to any size you want.

Mini Quilt size  -  26"x 37"  
Baby or Crib size  -  37"x 53"  
Lap or Throw Quilt size  -  51"x 73"  
Twin Quilt size  -  51"x 89"  
Double Quilt size  -  73"x 101"  
Queen Quilt size  -  89"x 101"

If you want to add accent colors, select the colors you want in your quilt from the chart below. Select the colors you want and use the fabric codes shown and, there are no limits.

The ordering process:

Below is a brief description of how my process works when I get your approval of the layout:

As for the amount of time needed, after you have the photos you want to use the process can start. 

Starting out 

Contact me to find out when I will be able to start your project, I make every quilt myself.

Send your photos: 
1) They can be sent via email, 
2) They can be place on a website that I can download or copy from or 
3) If you have physical paper based photos, I will convert the to photos to be used in the quilt to a .jpeg  file at no charge and send the original photos back with the finished quilt.

Create the preprimary layouts 
Once I have the photos and any other fabric information you might want know about, I create layouts using the photos sent of quilt designs for your review and approval. The layouts may take up to a week.

Upon approval

When you approve of the layout, let me know and I will then create an account for you in my Etsy.com shop to make your initial deposit of 50% of the cost and where you can keep track of my progress. I'll send you the link when the site has been prepared.

With your initial deposit made, I will then start transferring the photos to fabric, prepare the other quilt fabrics and gathering the materials for your quilt. As I go through the steps in making the quilt, I will post photos and descriptions of what I've done or doing for your review. 

The quilt top is then assembled and you'll be notified when that is completed. With your review and approval, the quilt will be completed. I will then ask you to review and approve the completed quilt. Upon review and your approval, the final 50% payment will be made.

When the final payment received, the quilt will be sent to you by USPS Priority Mail with tracking (2-3days) and insurance.

Estimated times for making your quilts

Please allow 2 weeks to create a "Mini sized" quilt from creating the layout to sending the finished quilt out to you.

Please allow 3 weeks to create a "Crib/Baby" "Lap/Throw" or "Twin" quilts from creating the layout to sending the finished quilt out to you.

Please allow 4 weeks to create a "Double" and larger quilts from creating the layout to sending the finished quilt out to you.

These are average times for planning purposes, times may be shorter or longer depending on the complexity of your project and what in the queue at the time of your order.
